    Update

Journal Entry: Thu May 29, 2008, 1:00 PM

Yes, I know I haven't posted any art in a Loooooong time. I'm just not inspired right now to do anything artistic. In time... there will probably be a little something something.

I'm currently working full time as a Youth Counselor for homeless/troubled/runaway/thrown away teens. SO I'm a little busy at the moment.

Other than that, doing a lot of self appraisal, meditation, reading, and study specifically on what life changes (both internal and external) need to happen in the near future.

I still check this page daily, so don't be shy. I'm just not posting any artwork at the moment.

New Happenings in the Life of Angie

Journal Entry: Sat May 3, 2008, 9:55 PM

Ok, I know you haven't heard from me in some time, and I haven't added anything new in a long time. There is good reason

My Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology officially posted yesterday May, 2, 2008! :excited:

I stopped working as a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee, and now can register as an MFT Intern (still need 2500 hours more to take the state license exam). So in about 2-3 years I should be able to be a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. :boogie:

Bart the bunny has a new home now with an x coworker of mine. He's having fun with her grandchildren and dachshund.

And Now... I'm going on vacation Monday through Friday! I'm going to Morro Bay California for 3 days and 2 nights of solitude, then going to my parents home to visit with old friends. I'll try and get some pictures (as in photos) in of my excursion. Then I should have some time to get some artwork accomplished.

So that should catch you all up. Let me know how you are doing mmmkay? :giggle:

    Angie

    Still Alive

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 12, 2008, 2:15 PM

Hello all my internet friends

I know I haven't been around for a looooong time, but that is because I'm trying to GRADUATE!!! Yes, May 2nd I will have my masters in counseling psychology degree. Until then I'm finishing up last min paperwork, counting my intern hours, and all that not so fun but necessary hoops for my school. Afterward I should have some time to produce something. Hope things are well for you all.

    Lost

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 11, 2008, 11:22 PM

    :lonely:

I just got home from watching American Idol at a friends house, and I had some time to think as I was driving. I haven't actually stopped to think about anything in a while, and I've kinda missed it. It's nice to just drive at night without anyone else on the road. I like the cold air too. But anyway...

I was thinking about just the general sensation I've had in the past year or so of feeling lost. Anyone had this experience yet? I just don't feel at home in myself and my life right now; like I've lost the essence of who I am. It's even manifested artistically as well. I haven't been able to take the time to sit for hours working on a traditional piece and to watch it come alive with layers upon layers of shading. I haven't gotten that emotional release as I express what's really going on inside of me.

I usually don't write about my faith much either, but I've lost that part of me too. I've let things slide to the point where I've forgotten God in everyday moments. I've forgotten God when I'm sitting in church or my Bible study group. I've totally lost focus on why I'm choosing to live and what it is I'm trying to accomplish.

And it's so easy to do. It's so easy to fall back into auto pilot and let life run through my fingers. Maybe I need to take a time out, spend some time getting to know God and myself.

Here is a summary of the feedback I got from a couple journals ago...

    1. My greatest strength, according to watchers, is traditional color pencil works. Yeah, I kinda knew that :giggle: . I tried digital, and it's getting better, but I'm not all that great at it.

    2. What people apparently want to see more of is the traditional work in equines. Sounds good. I'll try and get something going in the near future.

    3. People think that I could use help in digital works, and that I need to use backgrounds. I avoid backgrounds a lot, because I don't like doing them. I'm not that great at it, and I just loose interest when I get to things like grass and rocks and trees and water  But I just might suck it up and see what happens.

I'm also up for people sending reference photos.

And now... it's time for bed. I have my comprehensive 9am to 4pm exam this sat. and I need to study for it this week :faint:
